In other words, keep up the cheap/free mods that will work well with my Superchips programmer and save up for a later model.
Sound about right?

Ok, trying to do the EBPV mod, and can't find the EBPV...Looked for a plug on the front side of the compressor side of the turbo mounted to the turbo pedestal...can't find it.
Did early 99's have an EBPV?

My guess is the problem you are referring to about 99 rotors are not fitting your truck has nothing to do with early99 and 99
Raybestos Brake only lists a SD for '99, with two choices of GAWR... correct year, correct GAWR produced the wrong rotor (top hat not deep enough)...

the '00 was the correct one

unless of course (and would be my luck), my truck is a red-headed stepchild build...

It's official...my truck has no EBPV. I just found the plug tucked in with a factory-style cap on the end. I also saw that my filter housing says remanufactured and the turbo compressor looks semi-new... is there any way I can find a turbo ID picture to find out which turbo I have?

Yeah, that turbo doesn't look like mine. Mine says 1.10 A/R at the compressor outlet. I just don't uderstand why my truck doesn't have the EBPV...It wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't already put the switch in my dash and wired everything....

No van turbo has an EBPV. Does your exhaust housing look bigger than the one in the WIKI? Van turbos have a 1.15 A/R exhaust housing and is non wastegated. Helps reduce back pressure which will make more HP when heavily modded.

Any way you can take a pic and post it?
