Historically (not positive about the '08) the differences have been:
Spring & suspension packages (different lift blocks for rear)
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR)
Gross Axle Weight Rating (only for DRW F350)
Gross Combined Vehicle Weight Rating (GCVWR)
The axle & brakes under the F250 & SRW F350 have been the same for years (except for '90s & early SDs with D50 front axles)
The big deal comes to legal max weights in the event that you get checked a load that passes on a F350 is not guaranteed to pass on an F250
