Yep been deep fryin the birds for the past 3 years and each keeps getting better
Gonna put em in cottonseed next week,I did some test runs with chicken and fish(separate oils) to where I received great reviews from the wife and kids
I used to marinate the turkey the day before but found it better tasting without it.
works great, and tastes better than cooked in the oven. It's been a while but its about 30 mins for about a 15 lb bird. And It not greasy like you would think it would be.
I inject my own marinade similar to CHP's. I just throw some stuff in and taste it as I go. Make sure there is enough room in the pot for the turkey to fit and not overflow (which is what burns down houses). There is no more fighting for the dark moist meat. Everything is juicy.
