Great now you have me being scared.. Ive been here in Vegas for the past week and still for this week for work.. When I left my house I turned the gas off.. Virginia has been seeing some cold temps since Ive been gone.. You better have not jinxed me
Always had a hard time turning things down like that. Maybe it's because I lived in MN and knew things like this could happen, but I figured the money that was being saved by me not being home to use anything we enough that shutting everything down and taking the chance didn't make sense.

I work with waste
All last weekend we were out trying to thaw pipes in trailer parks. Some homeowner put a torpedo heater at their frozen meter and it melted the solder and blew the pipe apart. The best thing for a trailer is heat tape. Plug it in and wrap it around the pipe.
