Hi Guys,

What's the easiest way to remove the cooling fan? Haynes manual is pretty vague. Should I stick something in one of the big holes on the housing to stop the fan from moving or should I hold the water pump pulley with a chain/strap wrench? Any help would be appreciated, I've got to get this thing off soon... Thanks!

Just curious, by why are you taking it off? Did the electric clutch go bad?

I'm replacing the Intake Manifold, EGR Cooler, EGR Valve, and Oil Cooler. My Haynes Manual says to remove the fan (I guess to get it out of the way??) to replace the other stuff...
