hey guys-
i just read a related topic in the 7.3 section and this popped into my head. has anyone who has had any of the issues most of us have had, not have the CEL come on?:dunno
i have got certain issues and not once has the CEL come on, is it possible that somehow a wire or something got disconnected when my dash gauge was replaced at ~3k miles?

From what I have read and understand - if you had a CA truck you would be throwing CELs - the rest of us don't. Your most likely perfectly fine.

red 6-0, just cause the CEL light isnt on doesnt mean you
dont have codes either...

i had 4 or 5 egr codes and my light never came on...as ron says
only the california trucks will turn the light on <for emmissions>

that is my point. with my current issues and issues in the past, i would have assumed that the light would come on, it has not. i guess i am supposed to just guess if/when i have trouble. what to do then, i suppose i could just take it down to my friends shop and have him read it to check for codes. correct:sweet
that poses the next question, what if no codes show up? :dunno
