snake oil !
the same thing can be acomplished by idling the truck for a
minute or letting the egts fall after a hot run.

turbo shut down timers have got to be cheaper & easier to
install than this oil pump.

Actually its not a pump at all, oil pressure from the engine fills a spring loaded cavity, at engine shutdown half of the oil is released by a solenoid and the spring reinjects it back into the oiling system. When the key is turned back on, the other half of the pressurized oil is released by a solenoid and spring while you wait for your glow plugs to cycle. only one hot wire, on in the run position, and one ground. If the system fails all that happens is the systems function returns to stock. I think I will buy me one after the new turbo is installed. I still plan to idle like I should but want more insurance after a 40 thousand mile turbo (that I believe the body shop killed for me).

Yes, I got an email from them and it was in the $500.00 range depending on what you get. Three days ago.

not real worried about starup lubrication on the turbo, because there isn't any heat there, and the thin film that's there is just fine for the 5 seconds it takes to build oil pressure. On shut down, like was said above, you idle for a minute of two, and all is well.

Yep 5 honeys. The main reasons I want something like this for is, when I fuel up while pulling a heavy load, on a hot day, its not always easy to let the truck run for three minutes at the station. Also if someone drives my truck (wife) who doesnt know about turbos, It provides a margin for error. Just dont know if its worth the 5.

personally id install a cool down timer and/or an alarm w/ a shutdown timer
you need an alarm anyway...if you havent already added one.
