i hesitated to post this earlier, because it sort of went against all the things i have ever done to my trucks.

anyway two weeks ago i went to pick up a concrete saw, i loaded it in my cargo trailer and off i went to the shack, with one side trip to Ye OLD donut shop. :D

as i was toolling down the road at a miserly speed of 40, i had the occasion to speed up to 70 (speed limit) as i did the truck stumbled sort of then took off up to speed.

a few moments late i noticed i had a check engine light.
i scanned the gauges and listened for anything ODD. had great boost 31 lbs and low EGTs this is important for later

i got home, cut the concrete, returned the saw and dropped by my friendly ford dealer to ascertain the reason for the light.

well a few clicks and he found i had a LOW boost condition. :roflmao :roflmao

he told me i needed to drive her more and blow out some soot.

i geuss 400 miles in a month was just not enough. :dunno

so on the way home i removed some soot and ran her a bit hard.

then this past monday i decided maybe i should take advantage of the days without rain to wash and wax and look her over.
I found many mud dobber nests (several between the condensor and tranny cooler), several spider webs with big SPIDERS and dead bugs in em, lots of dead grasshoppers and ne half started bird nest under the rear bumper.

moral of the story...

DONT LET HER SIT, stuff will get stuck or BUGGY   got to flex that vary vane.

instead of laying around the house all fat, lazy, and retired, you need to get out more in the PSD and blow off some soot robert.

:roflmao :thumbs

Hey Robert,,, These guys that work, just don't know our busy schedule.

10 am. stagger into the kitchen for breakfast
11 am. read the paper
12 pm Lunch
1 pm look outside
2 pm step outside
2:02 pm get back in out of the heat
3 pm check tv schedule
4 pm Dinner
5 pm look outside
6 pm decide which vehicle to take to the parts store.
7 pm watch tv
8 pm time for bed...

We are just way to busy to keep our vehicles in fine tune.
:D

Being serious, when you are retired, unless going on a trip, or pulling a trailer, most traveling around town is done with other cars, so the PSD sits waiting to be used.

Sure glad you didn't get another ticket as you went from 40 to 70 MPH.
Yes this busy schedule keeps us off the streets and saves a lot of fuel.

Hey Bush;

Out here in the country, getting on the on ramps is casual at best.

When you are retired, there is no hurry to get where you are going. Keeping the speed down lets you see more of the country as you drive. Also helps with the blood pressure. :)
