Has anyone come up with a solution to the SC & CC bounce that occurs on smooth roads for some reason. I think there is a service advisory out there somewhere but I was looking for someone who actually solved it, not just a list of things for the dealer to try. I'm out of 3/36 warranty and don't want to deal with the dealer for non engine issues

I changed from the stock rancho shock to a Monroe Reflex but that didn't help. I was thinking of trying a standard shock instead of Reflex or comparable 9000 series from other makers.

I have also tried different tire pressures 50-75 and nothing helps. With the stock shock it bouced bad empty. Now with the reflex it bounces with the trailer also.

Never

noticed this bounce your referring to other than what I get from the not so smooth hiways we have way too much of. But, really, have never had it on smooth stretches of road. Can't say as I ever heard the driver complain of it either. I'm still running the original shocks n such although I do have Firestone Ride-Rites. Maybe..............

i have noticed that all interstates that have stretches of concrete are way ruffer than asphalt paved interstates.

when i was pulling my car carrier trailer empty on a road that was concrete, it would bounce the girdle off a fat women. i guess because the concrete is poured in sections, and i would get that occilating effect, it was much smoother when loaded.

is this the kinda rough drive your getting scot???

It happens on new / almost new concrete roads. near perfest conditions. All the vehicles around me are riding smooth. I've driven commercial trucks on these same sections of road and they don't bounce, so it can't be a symptom of stiff suspension. I see chevy and dodge 3500's near me with no bounce either.

Bama said it best "oscilating effect" A very rapid pace oscilating would describe it. anything on my center divider/ armrest on these roads is shaken off.

The only good thing about it is; get the right passengers and you get quite the show :sly :sly :sly :sly

if your out of the 3/36 it might cost you some duckets, but then again it might not depending on how they write it up

Right on Scot, Mine does it at 65 or 75 on I-30 around the 107 to the 110 mile marker. Thanks Robert, I will get this checked out.

It will bounce the girdle off a fat girl.
