I just finished installing my boost and pyro gauges. It took a littile longer than I thought, but they look great! Question is on my 60 hp fuel economy setting, how lbs of boost should I see? The most I've seen was 15/16. I guess whe I crank it up I' should see alot more boost? PS the MAP-maximizer is on the way!

I just turned it up to the 100hp setting when I went to fuel her up. I did see 17/18 psi on the boost gauge, but that seems low. Shouldn't it be a lil higher?

yeah that seams low. i set my edge to 100 hp and get about 30 (at full throttle) psi but i do have a banks exhaust turbin upgrad that enables more boost. where did you tap in at for your boost sensor?

I'll get about between 25 & 30 psi of boost depending which chip position setting I'm on.

I've got a limiter/regulator in the line to the MAP sensor as well as a zener diode which is pretty much just an "electrical pressure regulator". It prevents the MAP sensor from sending a voltage to the PCM that would be great enough to indicate an overboost condition.

My boost gauge is tapped into the intake "Y" plenum just below the compressor side of the turbo.

17/18 psi @ WOT. I was getting ready to drop the project for the night because of the weather, but not before locating an issue. It seems @ the "T" for the boost line was havivg a prob. The line that fees to the gauge was blowing off. So I went to Lowes hoping to find a differant "T" w/ a compression fitting for 1/8 (the line that's bleowing off), but coudln't seem to come up w/ anything. Any ideas?

I just put a New brass "T" w/ 1/8 compression fitting on. Seems to be working well, but I'm still only showing 17/18 psi at WOT. So I checked for kinks in the line and do not see any. Where's the best place to put the "T" at? ANY PICS?

have someone rev the engine up and down (to create boost pressure) and spray soapy water all over the intake boots and such, make sure you dont have a boost leak.

I would say that you have a boost leak somewhere. Check all the boots on the intercooler. All the boots on the intake plenum. Check for soot on the up-pipes. Make sure that your wastegate isn't sticking open. You should see up to 24-26psi.

I'm still new with turbos, but I still hate to ask...Where is a good starting point? When you say "Boots", do you mean the blue rubber hoses on the piping or should I look for a smaller Vac. line that may be loose. Also, how can you tell if the wastegat isn't sticking open? I'm totally lost? Sorry guys...
