now that shes running again it runs like it used to but nowhas a loud knock to it.if i goose it the knock goes away untill it reachs idle speed again.same thing while driving.if im up to cruisespeed i can hear it.if i get on it a little it goes away and comes back when the RPMs level off.it doesnt sound like a rod knocking,KNOCKKNOCKKNOCKKNOCKKNOCK.its more of a KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.and while cruising normal around town it has some smoke that it didnt have before.

what do you guys think?i did a buzz and CCT and it passed both.just want a few ideas before icall bean again

Loud clanging knock at idle that goes away when you goose it is often a cracked flexplate. Pull the inspection plate and watch it at idle. Will often look wobbly. Also one I saw you could see a rust colored powder radiating from the center on the flexplate. Common on early trucks with the thinner flexplate.

If you have a way to record it post the sound.

Gotcha, been AWOL a few days but checked your past posts. Possible the injector is still a problem. Did you check for bent push rods while you were in there?

Could it be air in the oil rails not worked out yet?:dunno

I know when I put a mechancal HPOP gauge on my truck it got some air in there and was louder for a bit.

Hope it's not a rod.

I am no expert on the OBS trucks but to me it sounds pretty good. At worst it sounds like my 99 with air in the fuel lines. :dunno

On edit: you might try changing the oil as you may have cross contaminated it with fuel when you replaced the injectors.
