Axle ?

OK im tryin to figure out witch axles my truck has under it, for the rear im thinkin dana 60 or 80 and front dana 50 maybe ? Owners manual isnt helpin much to clear the air...go figure F-350 drw with 4:10's gunna change oil in em and tryin to figure out witch oil 75-90 or 75-140? I plan on runnion amsoil

any help would be great?

any body runnin aftermarket diff covers? whats good?

Here is the VC (Vehicle Codes) for 2003 - 2005. I would think they are the same for the 1999 trucks. Same body style and all. TikiWiki : Vehicle Certification (VC) Label

Ya i have those codes for the axles, that only seems to tell the ratio and wether they are limited slip or not??

When I get home I 'll see what info I have around.

I run Amsoil Severe gear in the rear with a Mag-Hytec cover and I do like it. I check the dip stick once a year for lavels and shavings.

75-140w It's a Dana 80 more then likely it could be a Sterling 10.25/10.50 but both of those rear ends take the same oil. Don't know if you have a limited slip or not but you can buy the oil by the quart or gallon with it already in it. If you want to be sure go to www.ringpinion.com and enter your information and then match the look of your rear cover to the pictures on the site.

Most of them have a paper type gasket which having used several tend to leak. It doesn't look like LubeLocker makes a gasket for the Dana 80 so get yourself some good black or blue silicone rtv. Both are oil and heat resistant.
