I finally decided to pull the from auto lock hub off the truck to clean. But for the life of me, I can not remember what is the best to do. Do I just soak them? In what? Or should I tear them apart, as far as possible, and clean and soak?

Anything else to check?

Thanks

I service mine about every 10K miles. I rinse them with Brake Clean (CRC). Then put them in a tray, so that you can fill the inside with Auto Trans Fluid. I let them soak over night and then pour off all the extra. DO NOT TAKE THEM APART!!!!!

I check the o-rings that seal out dust and dirt. If all is good I wipe off the excess oil and re-install them. I take care not to mix left and right, I'm not sure it really matters but you never know.

I finally clean the outside with Brake Clean and some paper towels.

They have not failed me since I started this service.
