Are the Optima's worth it?

Sears has their own standards for the batteries that are made for them. They are usually good standards and better than most other stores. I worked for a company that supplied stuff to Sears and I was amazed at the spec's. Sears had good stuff. I would be willing to bet that Sears batteries are better than Auto Zone.

I work in the sears auto department and very rarely do i need to warranty a batt. And we honor our warranty no matter what no questions asked. Most warranty claims are for batteries that are 4+ years and are in the pro rate warranty.

i have an optima thats about 4 years old and it has taken a beatin has to holes in it i goobered up with rtv :innocent, its been in 5 or 6 trucks now and it has never let me down :sweet i dont know about in a diesel tho

I had optima's in my truck lasted about 3 years. The posts cracked. I went with interstate's.
