The factory Motorcraft batteies lasted about 5 years for me.

I hate to rain on everyone's parade when it comes to battery brand loyalty. But there is a lot of truth to the statement "they're all the same" when it comes to batteries.

Back when I was traveling around doing industrial testing, one of the places I used to go to was a AC Delco/ Delphi battery plant in Olathe, Kansas. During the course of the visit there, I saw a lot of what was going down the production line. The batteries going down the line never changed, but the labels did. There were about a half dozen different brand names pasted to the sides of the same batteries. It's been long enough where I don't remember all of them, some were better known and some looked like "house" brands. But I do remember Sears Die Hard was one of them.

Yeah I work at sears right now and JCI delivers our batteries. I was never sure if they were manufactured exactly like a JCI made for another retailer. They probably are unfortunately.

In Time, you may see Exide, or one of the other manufactures deliver batteries to Sears.

Through the years, I've heard & read there are Only X amount of manufactures that make just about ALL, of what we buy.

The key to it is: The Quality Standard, or Specifications, of the Production Run, Lot.. and so on.

The 'Ol Bottom Line.. still holds true though... You Git What You Payed For It (most of the time) ;):)
