if i'm not mistaken it shouldnt cost anything for the reflash because there was a bulletin about it..i know i received a notice in the mail and just swung by the dealership and they flashed it and i was good to go at no charge..oh most important is to have gauges not only can you see whats going on with your truck but good for diagnosing issues as well..nice looking rig by the way!

this is an isolated incident that i neverposted...the guy that put my clutch in is a diesel nut and of course a dodge guy...and he said he was very impressed with my truck .thought that was the ultimate complement from a dadge guy so...just saying if i can make a dodge guy a superduty believer they cant be all that bad haha

The 6.0 had its share of bad press early, but the bugs have been worked out, the last 2 years the 6.0 had a better warranty record of any previous ford engine gas or diesel, and that includes the famous 7.3. Mine is stock and has more than enough power for any towing I do (and most of mine is in the mountains). It is a finely tuned piece of equipment, and demands proper maintenance. If you get an abused 6.0 she will haunt you, but a properly maintained 6.0 will reward you. Ignore all the bull#$%$ and look at the facts.

The issues with these motors are blown WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY out of proportion. they are not half as bad as most people think. The key is proper maintenance. If you get one that wasn't taken care of you may have to do damage control. The motor is really a great piece of engineering - smaller displacement, more power, more fuel efficient and able to meet emissions requirements. also survived extensive factory testing. The people who have had 10 sets of injectors, multiple turbos, egr coolers, new motors put in are either doing something wrong or whoever is fixing the truck doesn't know what they are doing. My grandfathers 04 he had fixed on his way home from florida the dealer thought the turbo was bad so they replaced it and it was still blowing black smoke with no power - turned out it was egr valve all along. fixed it and fine ever since. What really irritates me are the people who don't even own one talking s#*^ about it or the people who put in a tuner on the highest setting and wonder why they have problems - HELLO????!!!! I love my 6.0 and plan on keeping it a long time:)
