My wife dropped a bit of a bomb on me a few nights ago.
A couple of months ago, she had "decided" (i.e. without telling me) that we were going to move to TN in few years after her parents pass away. Not to sound like I'm slamming TN or folks who live there, but I told her I have no desire or intention to move and live in TN. I like it here in da U.P. and that I was staying put. Extreme heat & me don't get along, I'd rather my driveway in the winter than non-stop sweating in the summer.
So she comes up with a "plan B": sell the house, get a big 5th wheel & new 1-ton dually or a class A motor home. She'd go back to travel nursing and we'd travel around the country for a few years and see the sights. The "biggy" incentive here is: I DON'T HAVE TO WORK!! I could actually be like my hero Robert!! All I'd have to do is keep the RV (house) clean!!
I have to say, it sounds very appealing. But it does bring up a few questions. How do folks handle things like mail and such when you're on the move every few weeks? How do you handle other things requiring a "permanent" address? I know there are a lot of folks already living the "Full-Time RV" life style. Any info & feedback appreciated.
