What two portions of the vehicle does this strap connect to in order to prevent static discharge?

I spray some static guard on the seats a couple of times a year, seems to do the trick.

For some reason I only get shocked when I wear sneakers:dunno

This is what my wife uses in her car during the winter months -

# Instantly eliminates static cling.
# Static Guard instantly eliminates static electricity and prevents static build up.
# So avoid embarrassing static-cling on clothing with Static Guard.
# Static Guard is:

* Safe On All Colorfast Fabrics -
o Even safe on silk, satin, wool and fine cotton
* Easy to Use -
o Simply spray on skirts, dresses, pants, socks, lingerie
* Works Instantly -
o Eliminates static on contact
* Lasts All Day -
o One application is usually all you need.

# Also Use Static Guard to:

* Easily Remove Pet Hair -
o Spray on clothing, drapes and upholstery.
o Wait one minute and brush or vacuum
* Protect Computer Memory -
o Spray on carpeting around computer area (avoid spraying directly on computer)
* Stop Flyaway Hair -
o Spray on brush before styling - it's gentle and residue free.

Didn't see your reply - started to type - had to run upstairs and came back to finish the reply - wife says it works great for her.

I used to use an old leather belt years ago to keep radar from locking on.
