That's about right.... these air filters are top notch and expensive.

Donallson makes the 'Powercore" filter.... blue color media is synthetic and water resistent (OEM color and type) and they make a white (cellulose/paper) paper one... as good, not water resistent.

No one ever said they would be cheap to replace... but you only have to do so about every 30,000 - 50,000 miles depending on driving conditions. I will change mine at 40,000 miles since my dealer sent me a coupon for air-filter replacement with a cost of $59.99 installed (OEM and everything).

thats not to bad, but i can get oil filters for 11.00
I amy take it out and clean it and see if it looks ok to go on. I had a TON of cleche sand all over the engine and around everything , i was going to change it for grins, but at 50 poppers i may wait.
