the factory service says SPECIFICALLY NOT to use compressed air !

Service Points - Air Filter

the factory book says to check the filter minder every two weeks
or EVERYTIME the hood is opened in dusty conditions they
recommend that the filter gauge be checked every 500miles.

Ive seen the airfilter for as low as 37 bucks.

i thought i had read that somewhere, but wasn`t sure....anyway, the M/C filter up here is about 80.00cdn(i think) and the Fram i just purchased was 30.00cdn(it was on sale at TSC)....

hey even at that rate if you get 1/2 the LIFE outta the Fram (assuming
it filters as well as the OE filter) youd STILL be 20 (cdn) ahead of the game.

'course if it DOESNT filter as well...youll be installin' a new compressor
vane at a minimum.

a GOOD measure of air "FILTERING" would come from oil sampling...
if the filter is sucking in DIRT your silicon ppm will increase.

another less on why you should stick w/ the factory filter !
while you got that thing off you better check the leading edge of
your compressor fins !
