Is that oil behind that one stud you have to re-seal if driven out?

I can't confirm that, only that there was silicone on the threads and the tip of the stud after I removed it. It has never been off before becuase I have had the truck since it was new. I assume its a water or oil jacket. I put black rtv gasket maker on it just to be sure.

just a side note, I did not mean to remove it. It is a 13mm nut on a stud that has a 13mm hex. The nut was simply a tighter fit than the stud was and the whole thing backed out on me. This could be avoided with a 13mm open ended wrench on the stud while loosening the nut, or just leave the gound attached as others do.
