I am goin to look at a truck for my fiance Saturday, was wonderin if any of ya could give my some tips at what to look at on this year truck as i have little expirience with them.

1998 F-150 XLT 4.6-V8 auto, 4x4, 96,000mls, good rubber, supercab, seems nice in the picture, some minor dings here and there, seems pretty stock
-They told her $7,250

any advice would be nice

I don't know about the price. You're looking at a 9 year old truck (since the 2007's are out now) with less than 100,000 miles, so the mileage isn't bad it all. Did you check any websites that give you the values? Check out www.kbb.com. You might check out some dealers' used car sites to get comparable pricing. If there is a CarMax close to you, look at their website: www.carmax.com. I've checked their site just to get prices for comparable vehicles. Of course, with CarMax, you'll be looking at retail prices as you would with any other dealer. I think that www.edmunds.com might also have an appraisal page. My youngest son had a 99 F150 that was bought in November 98. It was a two wheel drive with 4.6 V8, XLT SuperCab. He put over 100,000 miles on it without many problems. He was 18 when he got the truck and like any teenager, "ran the wheels off it". He wasn't easy on it at all. He traded that truck on a 2003 F150 about the time he got married.

well i went to look at it this weekend and they sold it, so my fiances not happy, but oh well, there are lots of trucks out there
