well, you can alter your setup and enable separate control over the water valve. The vacuum solenoid I found is supposed to be a 12v solenoid that will create the vacuum needed to switch the water valve on and off. So, you put the solenoid under your dash and a power switch on your dash and you can turn off/on the water at will completely independent of your a/c controls. This way, if you want to blend in warm air you can turn off the water valve and have the normal operation and control of your temperature. Allows it to work (or not) with vent, norm, or max setting.

I just never liked the all or nothing result of this mod. I also dont like cutting into my air conditioner lines.

You aren't cutting into AC Lines, Just Coolant lines.

BTW, Bob sells the kit too.

Sorry that is for the 99+ Trucks, but it is the same thing as I listed above.

Why would you want HOT Coolant coming in when it is on MAX????

Just switch it to Normal and it will blend????

Am I missing something??? :dunno

I just meant the vac line to operate the valve. This accomplishes the control I wanted. I just ordered the water valve. Solenoid is next paycheck.

I have seen a few setups that use a manual gate type valve in the vac line to cancel this mod but wanted dash control at flip o' the switch.

the valve is nice...much smaller than i expected...and pretty simple,
supply it 12v and it switches which line gets the vac.

is it not just an on/off vac? Or can it be hooked up more than one way? When I called the guy said it would do what I described. He said something about more than one line nipple but I dont remember what he said about it.
