New Owner! 6.0l milage

Have owned my 2004, 125,000 miles, F350, 6.0l, cc, Fx4, 8' bed for 7 days. Took long trip from NW. Washington to S. Oregon, Beautiful trip love the ride even though no weight in bed. My only concern was a max 14.6 mpg on trip computer, did not manual compute mpg. Truck ran 70mph @ 2000-2150 rpm (mostly on cruise). Was hoping for around 18mpg on highway (empty).

Bought truck to pull 22ft Travel trailer Gvw 6600lbs

Sounds about right, if you do it by hand you will be getting 13.9 to 15.5.
Trip computer are not that great. Your truck will pull that 6.000 LB rv like
it's not back there. Good luck and enjoy your truck.

When I had my 04 same as your. I put a tuner and larger tires 35" and was pulling 14 city and the best I ever got hwy running 72 mph was 21 on some trips. But mostly around 18 to 19 mpg. The trip computer is crap you mostly likely got a little better on hwy. probably in the 16 to 17 area.
