the new icp cleared my issues but i now have a new issue!!! my fuel pressure is too low, i get about 40 or a little less at idle and when i accelerate hard it can drop to below 20 which is terrible for the injectors. i have dropped the tank and cleaned it and the filter inside and i replaced the fuel pump, did nothing. i do have 30% over nozzles, blue spring upgrade, and upgraded banjo bolts but other than that the fuel system is stock, what are your guys's thoughts. help is much appreciated

That fuel pressure if from the tank to the HPOP (High Pressure Oil Pump). The HPOP ups the fuel pressure to something like 3000 (three thousand) PSI or more, to the injectors. It sounds like you are GTG if the truck runs good.

Dave, that is incorrect.... the HPOP only pumps engine oil..... the HFCM (Horizontal Fuel Conditioning Module) on the drivers frame rail is the ONLY part that creates fuel pressure. The spring in the fuel bowl, in this case the blue spring that was replaced, is what controls the pressure. with the blue spring, he should have close to 60 PSI of fuel pressure.

I would check and make sure the blue spring kit is installed correctly. I've just recently seen a post on FB I think, of someone with low fuel pressure and it was eating injectors. Several injectors had been replaced and the blue spring kit had been installed. When troubleshooting (blue spring and injectors had not been installed by the poster) when they couldn't figure out the low pressure, the were going to install a new blue spring kit. When they took the regulator apart to install the new blue spring kit, they found the previous kit had been installed incorrectly......

I would strongly recommend finding the fuel pressure issue.... at 20-40 psi, you WILL KILL your injectors.....

You are right snicklas, the HPOP only makes oil pressure. It is the oil pressure that pressurizes the injectors, correct?

Yes. At around a 7.1:1 ratio.
So say 3000 PSI HPO = 21,300 psi on the fuel side.
I wanna say the lowest acceptable fuel psi under WOT is around 50 PSI.

i have stopped driving it since the problem appeared and i have checked the blue spring already and it seems to be installed correctly, i guess there's no harm in checking again!
Is there any way that 30 over nozzles would require a RR?

No. Still same amount of fuel being used, the injector just empties faster.
