I got into a position that I needed 4x4. I tried flipping the switch to 4x4 low and the light did not come on. Hmmm???...ok, maybe the light is just broke. Lock in the hubs, put it in drive and spin. Try 4x4 high, still.....NOTHING. So what could be the reason that my 4x4 is not working. I'm going to read the owners manual and check the fuses. Any other ideas in the meantime??? Thanks

The electric motor that shifts the transfer case is not working. You will have to take it out and get another one...

Thanks Dave.... any idea where I could find that part and how to get to it? I'm still working on the fuse part at the moment. Well I'll jump on it in the morning anyways. The fuse that controls the 4x4 switch and motor is fuse 17 in the power distributor box. Any idea how to get the lid of that mother peanut butter off. I didnt fool with it too long, too wet, cold, and late to be messing with that crap. I got the idea the clips around the side need to be pull back but after I did that it was still being a pain to get off. I hope I'm right about the fuse. I don't feel like spending any more on this truck, unless its an upgrade:sly.

hold up... before you throw a motor at it..

this is a really complicated control circuit... FOUR different power feeds need good fuses..

print this out, get out your test light..
