Got a very big drag race that my work is putting on in a few days. Someone tell me honestly....(I'm thinking YES) does launching under lots of boost in 4wheel dig hurt the tranny? Tranny is completely stock.

I also set my 'Edge over to #5 a couple days before we go racing. In my mind it lets all the pieces work together better. Shift points, timing that sort of thing since I dont run in 5 very often.
my hitting instructors always tell me to "Be Quick But Don't Hurry" when it comes to getting ready to hit a baseball...i like to take that to the strip with me
"step on the egg, squash the bug......."
"hands follow hips............"

actually, more power can be gained without stepping on the bug.
some may "step" in the wrong direction, causing the head to be pulled.
but yes, power is in the hips, and then the hands come around.
watch andruw jones when he bats, he never takes a step, and hits it a country mile.
BTW, i would keep it in 4hi all the way down, you still have more traction that way. JMHO
