I visited a Ford dealer today for the first time !! I'm considering going to a gasser from a 98 CTD. I ruled out the extended cab as it's not much different than the one I have now on my 98 Ram. Seats still don't look to comfortable ? I do like the F350 SRW but I'm not sure it's up to hauling my 4000 lb truck camper. I see the GVWR is 10800. I know this ais mainly a diesel site, but are there any Ford sites that have Gasser (6.2 ltr) forums ? Thanks

First off Welcome to SSD.com
I am on my first diesel and love it. I had 2 460 before to pull my Fifthwheels,
nothing as large as I have now but they did a great job, I know nothing about
the new gas engines that are out there today.
A F-350 is still a SuperDuty and you are welcome here.

According to the commercial you don't have to order you're gas motor off the kiddie menu anymore. Think they have like 6 gas engine options.

I just couldn't stomach spending that much $ and not getting the diesel. You will spend alot of $ on gas if you plan on towing with the gasser. I would NEVER buy a gas truck.

actually the 350 only has one gas engine or one oil burner option
6.2 gas is a powerful engine, and is already being highly upgradeable in hp.
also if your going to full a fiver the 370 dollar factory installed Reese hitch is a bargain to say the least, plus it includes a factory bed mounted 7 pin hookup for the electrics

but either way a super duty is a superduty and you will be welcomed here

x2...with the economics of a diesel being so high to own/operate coupled with the spread between gas/diesel...it could make a lot of sense for A LOT of people to have the gasser.

Certainly an option for me too...
