most do it for the SUMMER option (keeping the A/C cold & batteries charged).
and it does take longer for the engine to automatically idle up based on the
air temp.
some do it to command the idle up <to 1200rpm> NOW, instead of waiting.
yep i use the battery charge protect. 1200 RPM NOW mr.
makes it real nice when its 100 F and i need some cold a/c in the cab

my inverter gets turned on once and i leave it on till the a/c device is removed , it only pulls .000000002 will left on
