Im a bit surprised you dont have some halogen reverse lights
mounted under your bumper...theyre very handy when connecting
or disconnecting the trailer @ night....not to mention when backing
UP these city block long, tinted window beasts !

you can see the KC reverse lights that i installed in this photo -->

you can buy 'em just about anywhere
2x6 Back Up / Flood Lights<br>System # 517

or use their wiring diagram to connect some better or cheaper ones....

That is a nice setup you have. I can see where the backup lights would be a real plus hooking up at night. That will use up two of our 4 upfitter switches. One for the backup lights and one for the inverter.
Thank you for the great ideas. :sweet

post hijack alert:stir

inverter but i didnt use the uppfitters

nice install. fwiw my inverter is used to run laptops...the inverter is
stuffed under the center portion of the 40/20/40 seat...i leave the
laptop power cords plugged into the inverter & I can turn the
inverter on/off from a switch "on the dash"....its easier than trying
to reach under the seat to turn the inverter on and off.

Imma do a short post hijack here too. My 06 will idle up by itself if the outdoor temps are cold (like below 30 or so) to about 1000 + or - RPM if it sits and idles for an extended period, not sure how long it takes as I havent timed it but it isnt terribly long. If you tap the brakes it idles down to normal low idle RPMs. Is this a reflash or code on the PCM or ?

thats how the 6.0 is suposed to work...

at or about 45* itll idle up to just under 1000rpm
and then again somewhere south of 30* itll bump
up again (no high idle switch required).

Cool, then everybody that is installing the high idle w/upfitter switches is doing it for another reason then I assume?

most do it for the SUMMER option (keeping the A/C cold & batteries charged).
and it does take longer for the engine to automatically idle up based on the
air temp.

some do it to command the idle up <to 1200rpm> NOW, instead of waiting.
