2007 Diesel Expedition.

In the October issue of Diesel Power magazine they show a link to a Ford poll where Ford is apparently asking for input about installing the 4.5 liter 300 horse PowerStroke Diesel diesel engine in the 2007 Expedition. The magazine asks us to "tell Ford, "YES! WE WANT A DIESEL EXPEDITION". Problem is I am apparently not smart enough to find the poll. They say to "click the link and configure your own perfect 2007 Ford Expedition" but when I click it I can only spec out a Expedition with the gas engine They say "On the "Future Options" page we see an option for the 4.5 liter V-8 diesel, and the option price for this is shown as a mere $2,500". Where is the future options page? All I could find on the Ford website was "A diesel option is still on the wish list, but Ford officials said it isn't likely anytime soon".

Ford removed the initial build link they had back in June and the 4.5L Diesel option was available only in the EL version of the Expedition.

Press and hold Ctrl+Print Screen. This will copy the screen to your clipboard, then open up a program like Paint and paste it to a blank file. Now you can save it to your drive in a convienient location. Save it as a jpg and not as a bmp.

I wonder if thet are going to put the 4.5 power stroke in the F150. I heard talk of this before. They currently use the 4.5 in the LCF cab over and now the Expedition. I bet they are trying to replace the Excursion with the EL Expedition using the 4.5 psd.

The Diesel in the Expedition Ford intends to use isn't cast in concrete as of yet but I'm sure one will be offered in the coming years but the word is "when".

Ford wants something to fill the shoes of the discontinued Excursion but us X owners knows that no SUV will be able to accomplish it
