2006 vs 2007 F350

I had the choice of buying the 2006 or 2007 F350 xlt s/c 4x4 8ft bed manual trans.
The reasons I chose the 2006 are:
1. 6.4 engine is untested, and I wanted a reliable truck.
2. 2007 looks ugly.
3. Higher emission standards on the 2007.
4. Shorter wait time to get the 2006.

I know the 6.4 is supposed to be a higher output engine, but I did not want to be the tester. 2009 might be a good year to buy a truck with this engine, but not now. At least that is my opinion. I should be getting one of the last 6.0 engines, so I hope that all the modifications have been made to it to make it reliable.

Any other opinions?

I agree with getting the last year of production of an engine. Let others be your guinea pig.

It wouldn't matter anyway. The 6.4 has been delayed until the 2008 model year according to Blue Oval News.

I sometimes wish I would've waited for an 06 but it would've taken the WHOLE summer to get it (which I DEFINENTLY didn't wanna do ) and it would've cost me like $1,500 more
