18” M/T Load Range E Tires

Nitto Tires has several sizes in the 18" size all the way up to 3650 lbs in their Terra Grappler series. Nitto – Fueled by Enthusiasts

For a more agressive tire, they have three 18" sizes in the Mud Grappler type tire: Nitto – Fueled by Enthusiasts (If the "Sizes and Specs" page comes up the the "undefined" listings, just hit your refresh button).

Don't know anything personally about them other than a friend with a '02 7.3 just got some. Don't recall if they were 18" though and he did just get them so no real experience yet.

The 33X12.50R18LT are E/10. That is E rated and 10 ply although they are only good for 2,910#. It is strange that some of the D rated 37"+ Toyo's are rated at much more weight than the E rated 10 ply 33's but they are listed as E rated.

no, that makes sense. The 37" tire has a larger air chamber than the 33"

Yeah thats the thing with tires you can go up in size and drop in class but still carry the same weight. Another thing about nitto's is there terra grapplers in a load class E will only take 65psi of air.

Now it's starting to get really frustrating, my 01 has Firestone Destinations M/T 305/70/16s I really like the tire, I have over 50,000 miles on them, they have about 5,000 miles left. There is a National Back order on those with no date for them to be made!! Looks like I’m going to have to go to another tire on that truck also. The only thing on my 01 I ever complained to Ford about was the 8 on 170mm Lug pattern. You just can’t find any decent looking wheels to fit that pattern. Then you can’t find any decent tires to fit the stock wheels!!

I don't mind the lug pattern since, IMO, THESE rims would look oh-so-spiffy on my truck, but finding hub-centric (vs. the much more common lug-centric) 8 x 170mm wheels is pretty tough.

Those can be bought with 8 on 6.5 lug pattern. You see Chevy and Dodges with them all the time.

Do you know the difference between Lug centric and Hub centric? I do, lug centric has a taper on the lugs so you don't have to have a Lug Cap to cover the ugly Lug nuts on Stock wheels!! That is why there are not many Hub Centric Aftermarket Wheels made!!

275/70/18 tires are actually 33.16in tall, you would need to find a 34in tall tire if 35s are to big, I just went through this, got my new shoes today.

I like a wider wheel also. On my 01 I think I'm just going to go with Eagle Alloy Series 058 in 16.5X12

have you ever owned a set of bias tires? After sitting overnight they are gonna drive like a square tire cause they will be flat spotted.
