'06 chrome tow mirrors

just went to the local ford dealer to see about the chrome mirror covers. you can order them thru ford and the covers on the 04s will come off and you can put the "chrome" package covers from the 06's right back in place. went ahead and ordered a pair for my 04. here are the part #'s if anyone is interested. there are 2 #'s, one for left and one for right.

Oh yeah, they were about 99.00 and some change each. i know, i know, that is alittle much. but at least they will look factory, and i wont have to worry about the "3M" tape coming loose. i pretty sure i will get them alittle cheaper than that. luckly, my ford dealer likes me and i have come to know several of the employees their.

i believe i'm with robert on this one, i would much rather have the factory ones if they will fit. the putco stuff looks like the chrome pieces on a scale model kit. the factory ones are probabley plastic too, but they look much nicer.

this is at gilbert & baker ford in albertville. i live about a half mile from the dealership. it is where i bought my truck. they old me about 99.00 per side, but i believe they will let me have them alittle cheaper. they should be in next week.

The factory one's are a little nicer, but a little pricey. Mine were a gift, so I guess the price was right. they really bring the truck to life, though. You got grill chrome?

yeah, it looks just like the factory grill for an '04, but it is chrome all over.
