'06 chrome tow mirrors

does anyone know if the chrome covers on the 2006 models will fit in place of the ones on the 2004 models? i have looked real close at them and they look like they would interchange with each other. thanks in advance..

it should be a simple front cover swap,
the ones before the turn signal lights require a whole new shell

yeah, thats what i was thinking to robert, now i wonder if you can buy just that cover only and not the whole mirror assembly.

Putco sells 'em, about $115.00 for pair. Fits 99-06. With turn signals, or without. Happy hunting.

are they PLASTIC/CHROME or some kinda metal...personal i like my
chrome as much as STICKERS but...id be afraid the plactic/chrome
wouldnt hold up to rocks and bugs very well...

I have seen putcos up close and didnt care for the finish it just didnt look as good as the factory ones, but who knows if the factoy ones are all metal or plastic chromed over??
i think putcos are a stick on version to as they fit more years IMO

i believe i'm with robert on this one, i would much rather have the factory ones if they will fit. the putco stuff looks like the chrome pieces on a scale model kit. the factory ones are probabley plastic too, but they look much nicer.

me too, but alittle chrome goes along way. i want the housing painted to match, but the cover to be chrome. i also plan on having my door & tailgate handles painted to match my truck. the chrome stickers just don't look right. the only way i would do it is to have the soled billit alum. replacements, but they cost toooooo much.
