06 20" factory wheels to 04?

Im looking to put a set of (05-06 4x4)factory 20" take offs on my 04 srw f350, some people say they wont fit. Will they fit????

The bolt pattern is the same, but the offset is wrong. The 05-06 wheels will sit about 4" too far into your wheel wells, if thats the look you want, then go for it!

4" to far, Why? Are the axles shorter? whats the difference in the 05 and 06? Thanks

Fine69 is exactly correct....The 05/06 is when the suspension changed and the wheels are no longer interchangeable.

bud - where did you pick up your take-offs?? I have been looking for a set at a reasonable price.

I bought an 06. Im putting a lift and new wheels.

The main difference with the 99-04 and 05-06's is the change from leaf springs to coil springs. The coil spring trucks have the hubs,(where the wheel bolts on) spaced out farther to allow space for the coils. This changes the offset on the wheel to keep it inside the wheel well. If you were to put 99-04 wheels on a coil spring truck, they'd stick out of the wheel wells about 4". Likewise, if you put 05-06 wheels on a 99-04 truck, they'd stick 4" too far into the wheel wells.
