Bush - This truck is pretty stock. No MODs. I will consider the Blackstone, thanks!

I finally filled the tank for the 2nd time last night. 13.2 MPG. -mad I am pretty disappointed.

I am thinking about taking it back up to the dealer and seeing if they will take a look at it. I know the owner fairly well, and may pull out the FRIEND card...

Thanks Chris...maybe I'm not as far off as I thought I was. I am going to start with the obvious MODs...intake/exhaust/then chip, then see where that gets me.

I appreciate everyone who has shared their knowledge and experiences!:sweet

stay away from that INTAKE...itll buy you NOTHING...and the risk of
letting dirt sand and water thru is TOO GREAT....over time these
tiny particles will wear the leading edge/fins of the compressor wheel
and degrade the performance.

youre still under the 5/100k warranty btw !

Seriously??? Modifying the cold-air intake is always one of the first things that I hear to improve MPG. You obviously disagree, and I trust your judgement. I am sure that others will offer some input!

The 6.0 has a great filter system and I have my doubts that the filtration can be improved. The filter is as big as a small trash can. Look at exhaust systems for performance gains.

let me just say that when i pulled my OE filter & changed it (even thought
the indicator was not prompting me to do such early maint.)

i dumped SAND out of it....NO FILTER is gonna filter as well for as long...
sandy dust/dirt will rip the edges right off that compressor wheel !

NO ONE has EVER proven that the stock airfilter is a choke point for
this engine...now ill agree at some point, heavy hp moding or
competition pulling, will benefit from more air...but thats about
WINNING not about longevity.

Donaldson, the mfg of the factory air filter, has produced flow reports
and filtration information indicating that the filter can flow more
air than even a moderately modified 6.0L engine consumes

all the aftermarket cheez-cloth/oil "charged" filter mfg tell you their filter
works BETTER once it collects some DIRT...so you gotta ask...wheres
the initial dirt GOING before it builds up on the filter !?!

and if that werent enough they tell you to CLEAN IT...which starts
the dirt passing cycle all over again !
