    6.7l Alignment issues

I would have them inspect/replace the U-Joints in the front knuckles. What can happen is, a U-Joint can get stiff in 1 axis….. so as long at that isn’t the half of the cross that needs to rotate, then all is good. But as you are driving and things bounce around and the axle shafts move around...

    2021 F350 STX Mirror Upgrade

I don’t have one of these trucks, but if they don’t just work on install, it should be able to be activated in the LCM/BCM by the dealer or a good scan tool. Going back a ways, I had an 98 Sable Wagon that I accidentally broke th drivers mirror off the car. I replaced it with one out of...

    Red 90 diesel?

That’s much better than in Indiana. It is 10,000 tax evasion fine. I can buy a lot of on road diesel for 10 grand….. it’s not worth the risk… not to me at least…

How to Leave engine running with locked doors?

That must be a pollution thing now. I’ve not heard of that. I know on my older trucks 03 Excursion Diesel and 11 F-150 EcoBoost, they will idle as long as the key is in the run position. I know they will run for hours.

How to Leave engine running with locked doors?

So even with the keys in it, on the run position, it will only idle for 30 minutes?

How to Leave engine running with locked doors?

If you have a keypad, you can lock them from the outside with that pad. Not sure on other models, but my 03 Excursion, you hit the last 2 buttons at the same time 7|8 and 9|0 (4 highest numbers) at the same time and it will lock all the doors from the outside. Also, when you unlock them with...

How to Leave engine running with locked doors?

Do you have keyless entry? (The number pad on the door?) My 03 Excursion has it, and you can hit the correct key combo and lock the truck from that keypad (and obviously, unlock it). If I hit the switch on the door with the keys in it, it will unlock (Ford has been doing that since the 90’s)...

    04 f350 tow mirror replacement.

I know on some of the E-Series Class C Campers, they have a mirror with a really long arm..... like 12-18 inches out from the door.... should be a similar bolt on mounting. I've never tried it.... but I think I have seen most E and F series mirrors cross....

    Now we want to order..........

Honestly, I would just go to www.ford.com. Go to the Trucks & Vans selection at the top. From there you can pick which vehicle you are interested in, in this case the SuperDuty, and click on it. You can then Build & Price from there. You can build the truck the way you want it... start with...

    Brake problems

Mine wasn’t the caliper. My caliper pistons moved fine. My was the 2 pins the caliper bolts to and allows the caliper to slide.... Mine wouldn’t slide, so it didn’t “squeeze” the rotor, the pad the pistons push would push on the rotor, but the opposite side pad didn’t do anything.. There...

    Brake problems

Also check to see the pins in the caliper bracket are free and moving. My 03 Excursion would pull to the right on braking. I checked everything over on the right side and everything was fine. Checked the left side and the pins in the caliper bracket were frozen. The reason it was pulling to...

Oil Pressure fluctuating and power dropping

Yes, use only Mortorcraft/Racor/IH oil and fuel filters on the PSD’s, especially the 6.0. I know the 6.0 filters were patented, so the aftermarket either had to pay to make the correct, or they made one that is 99% correct. In the 6.0 that 1% is what gets you.... For me, the extra couple...

Oil Pressure fluctuating and power dropping

The 7.3 and 6.0 PSD HEUI Injectors (Hydraulically-operated, Electronically-actuated Unit Injector) uses a pump (HPOP - High Pressure Oil Pump) it use engine oil that is pressurized into the 1000’s of PSI, to fire the injectors, On a 7.3 and 6.0 the engin oil level can get low enough the engine...

    SUGRING 6.0

Do you have a Check Engine light on? How old are the fuel filters. They need to be changed every 10,000 miles. I would recommend only Motorcraft/IH/Racor filters.

    RPM Concern

Honestly, at that RPM, the only thing being hurt is your fuel economy/wallet. I would also do some calculations and see just how much changing gears is going to effect you cruising RPM/fuel economy vs the expense of swapping gears. It could take a long time to break even on fuel saving to pay...

    RPM Concern

Most diesel engines are designed to run on the governor, all day, every day. What is the "red line" on the 6.7? I've not driven one, but I know my 6.0 is 4000+ for the red line. Running 3000 and under shouldn't hurt anything, except fuel economy. 2500 at 70 isn't too bad, as my 6.0 runs 2000@70.

    Steering wheel motor

They have actually been doing it for a while in the smaller trucks. My 11 F-150 has electric steering. It's like the old "pinky steering" from the 70's when Ford used to use Saginaw pumps.....

    05 hiccup /stutter

With the injector buzz again, the FICM or PCM is loosing power momentarily. When it gets power again, it runs the inductive heating sequence. It thinks the key has been turned off and back on.

    6.0 fuel problem

It could be the “showerhead” on the sending unit has failed or fallen off. Since the 80’s Ford has used a plastic pick-up with a screen at the bottom. These can deteriorate over time and fall off. Now the bottom of the metal line on the sender is now the empty mark, rather than the bottom of...

    Brakes- caliper (?) sticking?

Could be a failing brake hose. The “rubber” line between the frame and caliper. The line can break down inside, and a small flap can come loose from the line. When you push on the brakes, the high hydraulic pressure and “blow open” the flap, but when you release the brakes, it falls back into...

    S.texas newbie

According to the VIN, it’s a 7.3 PSD..... A quick rule of thumb though, if it’s a 94 and has an automatic transmission (E4OD), it WILL be an IDI (unless it was swapped in later). Ford didn’t put the automatic behind the PSD in 94. They were still working on the shift scheduling.
