  1. Since the Super Duties are so very difficult to find because the factory is waiting on computer chips, we have decided to order and wait on a truck. Now, please tell me best place or places to build a truck. I have accessed many sites, but I don't seem to find what I need. Can any of you please help me. We do not mind waiting on the new 22's. Our current F 350 super duty has served us well and still worth a good bit of money. We have now, a F 350 Super Duty Lariet, Diesel 2013. It has 141,000 miles and we are going to sell out rite or trade not made up our minds yet. Thanks for reading, Trisha

Honestly, I would just go to www.ford.com. Go to the Trucks & Vans selection at the top. From there you can pick which vehicle you are interested in, in this case the SuperDuty, and click on it. You can then Build & Price from there. You can build the truck the way you want it... start with a package, like Lariat, and then you can step through and make it the way you want it. I just did something similar playing around building a couple F-150's.....

One suggestion, if you find yourself adding a bunch of stuff to the base package you chose, back up and step up one... Like, if you chose XLT, and you find yourself "checking" a lot of boxes, go back and choose a Lariat and you might find a bunch of what you checked is now included, and a bit less......

I built my F250 XLT online at Ford.com, picked the options that were must haves and some "wants", then went into the dealership and kicked it around. I ordered in Sept '20 so ford.com didn't have the '21s on line yet so I built what I wanted as an '20. I would have been perfectly happy with an '20 but they weren't building them any longer. The dealership transferred my online '20 build to a '21 and we were good to go. Easy-peasy. I ordered Sept.12, 2020 and got it December 15, 2020. I guess I slipped in before the chip shortage kicked in. :)

Drop into you local dealer and ask for the rapid specifications. This is the 30 to 40 pages that gives the exact details of every option available. They should print it out for you. You can also search on line.

In them you will find the little goodies - want a rear sway bar on a SRW - get the camper package. Want the biggest alternator, order the instant cab heat. Lots of buried information Ford.com does not show
