Transmission sticking in 2nd gear

Thanks for the advice. I'll look into pulling the valve body and checking it out. Transmissions intimidate me some but I can always take it to a shop if I get in over my head. Also, thanks for the 20k mile info. I thought 50k was the recommended mileage change, hard lesson learned I guess...

Thanks for the nice welcoming everyone. I really like my old truck and hope I can get this problem fixed without throwing a lot of cash at it. I bought the truck at 50k miles and the fluid had just been changed... according to the dealership. It was nice and red. Assuming that was the case...
