    if i crank it all the way my 315's rub the leaf spring. i checked for any significant wear and it doesnt even look like its taken anyhtign of the tire, but theres a mark on the springs. so i think my **** is wide enough, but im sure they would look to short if i went up 4.5"

    i went to meijer to get some oil (didnt get any cause they didnt have any filters for my truck anyway lol) and i have been a fan of mobil oil, used modil 1 in both my mustangs. there was a mobil 1 truck and suv delvac 1300 15w40. in a 2.5 gal jug. good stuff? i now nothing about diesel engines.

    the only wax i personaly use is meguiars gold glass. its just my personal preference. there are alot of myths about car care, and alot of ignorant (not stupid, just misinformed) people that spread these myths. in no way am i saying this is being done here, but just be careful what you read...

    is there different oil for diesels. i know they use a heavier weight but its just regular oil right? i use mobil 1 synthetic in my cobra, anybody use synthetic in diesels? thanks guys.

    the techwax is good. but dont be fooled (and dont get me wrong, i like meguiars) it doesnt remove the scratches/swirls, it fills them. once you wash the truck theyll come right back. theres nothing you can spray on your truck to protect the finish. theres the 3m clear chip guard film, but...

    if they move alittle then they are just sticking. i work in a body shop and im taking off door panels and what not all day, all the bars have grease on them and it can obviously wear out. mine do the same thing, just havent had time to fix it yet.

    i know i typed some novels in a few of my posts, but i went over it. exactly like he said. water, glass cleaner or detail spray (spray wax) as a lubricant, work in small sections and just rub your truck. think of sanding or waxing. just you wont see the results as you work.

    no problem guys. a bunch of different companys make clay bars. any place that has a good auto care section will have some. couple bucks. they are all pretty much the same.

    everyonce in awhile at a complete random time while sitting at idle for a few minutes my truck will increase to about 1100rpms. if i tap the accelerator or brake it drops back down. if i dont it will stay up there.

    wash with a NICE wash mit, cheapies will scratch, well EVERYTHING you touch to your paint scratches it, but you wont always notice. swirls scratches ect. every thing that contacts the paint leaves a mark whether it be microscopic or not, its there. so a good wash mit is key. clay bar...

    i do detail on the side, but i think proximity is a problem for most of you guys lol. that leads me to a question. who on here is from the chicago area? most everyone ive seen is out west or south. but hey, if anyone is ever gonna be in the area, i can always use some spare cash! lol

    so i dont know much about diesels, im sure theres a reason no one runs a blow off valve like the turbo gas engines. im just curious what the reason is. sorry for the newb question but i asked my buddy and all he said was, you just dont run one on a diesel. i just wanna know why lol. thanks.
