    I'd guess it died from another issue because it shouldn't of fired right off if it ran out of fuel. Was it running rough or surging before it shut off? I've got'n over 30gal in my 29gal tank but it was starting to surge as I pull into station.

    Easy haul

    Took mine and my sons Victory cycles down to the Vic shop in Adel Ia. For a little mod work and dyno tuning. Pulling a 12ft. enclosed trailer was easy on the SD compared to a big trailer.

    Garrett makes a replacement turbo called power max. Basically same as stock but with improvements. About same price as stock one. I'm waiting for someone to test one out for me because i've been having a few sticking problems with mine.

    I got the new and improved flash on my 06. Wish the original was still there. Good luck, hope they have a real fix for ya. It happened on my work truck too. A 2012 mack that had sensor problems got reflashed. Lost 8-10 lbs of boost and still have sensor problems.

    Good luck finding your problem. I think they told me it was a jem module that was bad and it would be hundreds to fix it. I lock my hubs in when I need them because like yours it works fine except for the shift on fly part.

    How deep is the siping. I know it helps traction on slippery roads but how would it hold up to towing most of the time. In the summer thats what my truck is doing 3/4 of its miles. Just wondering if would want to tear little bits off tires.

    My 06 has done the soft shift thing under light throttle almost since new. With or without a tune in it. Never under load has it done this. I call it a flare. Trans fluid still smells good so I don't worry about it anymore. Its a random thing that you can't get to repeat if you try.

    Maybe you worked your truck just a little harder and it ran a little warmer than normal so it sucked in some fumes through the fresh air vent causing the odor.

    7.3 turbo bolts

    When I had a 7.3 a few bolts just went missing and the local Ford dealerships mechanic had a few used ones left over from jobs they had done so I got them for free. Check other diesel repair shops too.
