    fuel heater??

I am making my own veggie blend and mixing it up with half #1.

    fuel heater??

I don't have a regulated return yet. Just have stock fuel pressure at 65 psi. I just did the hutch mod that takes away the warm return fuel from the pick up. I didn't realize it helped so much in the winter. It is much easier to see now that it is winter. :lmao

    fuel heater??

The starting is not my problem, it's the ending that I don't like. LOL. Any luck at colder temps? How much of a fuel pressure drop do you get? It gets much colder than that down here and I would like to run this stuff all year round. Much cheaper on the pocket book!:D

    fuel heater??

So I find out after I did my hutch mod that the warm fuel from the return line was the only thing that was allowing me to run the b50 that I make in my garage in the winter. My fuel pressure would drop dramatically when on the throttle. If I warmed up my inline filter with torch then it would...

    OIL rating?

I guess if you abuse the ether then say goodbye to your motor. Ether lockin' a motor is not so good. Like I said a little shot.

    OIL rating?

Ever heard of ether? A little shot in the intake works magic on a diesel in -40 in the middle of the bush! But try and do that with 15w 40 in your oil pan.......not gonna happen. If you wanna know what is best in the winter put it outside in the cold and try and pour it. Even the 5w 40...

anyway to get a better turning radius on my 97?

Yeah, anything pre 99' has zero steering radius. I used to drive a 88' crew cab long box 5spd 7.3L and what a tank to turn that thing around. I'll take my SD any time of the day. You could try to see if all the steering linkages will fit on to your truck, that and a 99 + front diff should get...

    Stutters when cold or warm

Other filters never hurt especially if it one like TG's, just an additional water fuel sepparator. They are the particle screens in your fuel tank and you need to drop the tank to get to them. But don't jump right in and do this. Check and make sure what your fuel pressure is under load and...

    6.0 vs 7.3 ???

Either engine is quite capable of towing. Both have pros and cons about them and most likely almost everyone on here has a different opinion about them both. In my opinion the 7.3L is a bullet proof engine with an anchor for a transmission. The the 6.0L can make way better hp but is a little...

    Stutters when cold or warm

You need to find out what your fuel pressure is at idle and what it is when this happens. Your mixing chamber fuel screens may be plugging up. If you don't tow anything you won't notice it as bad but when you go to pass the demand for extra fuel is too much for the pump to pull past the...

Please help, 4" exhaust MBRP & Magnaflow

I picked up the magnaflow for mine. It has a 4" down pipe but it was an easy install and no clearance issues. Got it off of Magnaflow Exhaust Solutions-Hottexhaust.com. Think it was around 380 bux for it. My truck was short enough and there was enouth pipe left to make it straight piped too...

    Drivetrain differences from '03 F250 4x4 to '03 F350 4x4

Opps, must have left my good eyes somewhere! :D

    4x4 won't engage in cold

Is "COLD" the issue? Does anyone else experience this problem?

    Drivetrain differences from '03 F250 4x4 to '03 F350 4x4

Are they both 7.3L or 6.0L? That would be another thing to check out. If one is a 6.0L I would lean towards the 7.3L. They last they make of something is usually better than the first. The 7.3's may not make as much power as the 6.0's but they are damb near bullet proof. :)

    4x4 won't engage in cold

Are they a big issue to remove and clean? What is the best way to test the vac lines? Is it the hubs that engage first or the transfer case?

    4x4 won't engage in cold

There is no light on the dash at all. When the light comes on it has 4x4.

    MPG change with weather

Don't forget your warm up time too. Even if you only do it for a few min each time you go somewhere it all adds up.

    4x4 won't engage in cold

Yes I still have the auto hubs. But would the vac leak not show up all the time? This only happens in the cold after I get on the highway

    4x4 won't engage in cold

I tried it this morning as I left the driveway and it went on just fine. Seems to me it just wont go in after I start moving on the highway and for some time after I stop too.

    4x4 won't engage in cold

It does nothing, it needs to go into 4x4 high before it can go into Low range.

    4x4 won't engage in cold

My truck won't go into 4x4 when it's cold outside. I can drive fast, slow or be stopped and it won't go in. But if I shut the truck off and fire it back up it will go in. It's a dash switch 4x4

    Cold Start=No Start

I think you really need to change your glow plugs man and your knowledgable mechanic friend should have told you to test your GPR first before installing a new one. If you don't know how to use an OHM meter then you can test the glow plugs to see if they are burnt out buy using a 12v test light...

    superchip's programmer?

These diesels are a whole different animal, and once you start with the upgradin' your not gonna stop. Your gonna catch MOD FEVER just like most everyone else on this site! Pretty soon you'll have diesel fuel, injectors and water/meth injection on your brain, not gas, carbs and nitrous. :thumbs

    Help

"A bad exhaust leak noise"? Sounds like your EBPV (exhaust back pressure valve). They make that noise when they are closed but only at a steady throttle pressure. If that noise stops when the truck is warm that is your "noise". You can also remove that too, but that requires taking your...

    superchip's programmer?

For your moneys worth and more, get an SCT tuner. I had a superchips for my 7.3L and switched over to the SCT and am thoroghly immpressed. I do believe they do even better on the 6.0L:thumbs
