    swap solenoids with a good injector and see what happens. if the deadness follows the solenoid, thats your problem. if it stays with the cylinder, you may have a bad harness or other issue.

    i had an injector crap out twice, but it would still fire just weak. it would make it have terrible idle characteristics. swapped it out for a good one and it idles perfect. i found the dead one by unplugging each injector until i found one that didnt make a change in idle.

    dont think for a second that the silly little "flush" machine gets everything out. its almost impossible to get all of the coolant out of any engine, an 4 gallons of fresh stuff is a good percentage of the total. check the sca's and watch for the clarity and thats all that matters.

    that reminds me....i had a rattle from a loose rivet on the door, i drilled ahole and installed a new rivet. went to help someone and came back and reassembled the door without taking the loose rattling rivet out. i need to do that, its been annoying me!

    well at my shops labor rates and parts markups i wouldnt say the price is nuts at all. I WOULDNT PAY IT, but our shop would probably get you for around 800, ball joints included. you can do it yourself, or find a different shop to quote it.

    ya winter gas (august to april i think...) is oxygenated, so basically you are running a mini shot of nitrous, wich requires more fuel to keep the mixture at stoich. my wifes mustang suffered a big mileage hit when they switched from mtbe to the 10% ethanol. you NEED a diesel!
