    Question 3.73 vs 3.55

i have 3.55's but now that my truck is seeing more towing time than empty, i am looking to go down to 3.73. with the 3.55s its a little sluggish off of a stop, and in the mountains it spends its life in 3rd rather than OD. the 3.55's are nice for long straight empty stretches of highway :D

    lopey idle?

do it with the engine running, taking special car to keep fingers out of the valvetrain, although i dont fear touching any of those moving parts, nothing to "bite" you really. after you plug one back in, give the engine a few seconds to "stabilize" before going for the next one.

Help Needed front hub 2001 4x4

i had a similar problem on a customers truck, but it was the wheel bearings that were loose. it would let the hub cock enough to engage the locking splines partially and make a terrible grinding noise. i ended up replacing the entire unitized hub assembly.

    lopey idle?

pop the valve covers off, throw some rags or kitty litter under the engine (just in case) and run it. unplug one injector at a time and listen. if the problem is a bad injector, when you unplug it you shouldn't notice any change in idle quality, or if its a weak injector it will barely change...
