Question torque converter head spinning

after reading over all the torque converter sites , one thing that came up that was interesting is not all triple disk converter have fully splined ( all three plates are grabbing the cover ) and having a bullet cover and this and that .And the cost can very from $500 to $1500. sun coast sound very impressive put so does factory tech.then there is the shipping witch I can understand but i might as well keep my old converter because it will coast me $50 to send I back any way so that be another $100 for shipping, wish I knew some one in MA that made a good torque converter .What do you buy and from who

I have a converter from Racer X Automotive in my 90 F350. He offers other converters for 4R100 and the E4OD.

wichever converter you get make sure its a low stall one, it will GREATLY help your stop/go mileage. i have an ATS converter, and i picked up 2mpg for my 20-40mph drive to work. it was not a cheap one, but has paid for itself in fuel savings ten times over!
