    Depends Untill you can't pour anymore. the weight of the oil will force it's way through the filter media and fill the center chamber also but it's time consuming, I get about 2 quarts in mine before i thread it on and run the truck. All depends on the brand of filter, I use Fleetgaurd. ;tu

    Oil Fill...... Don't fill the large port with the threads only fill the surrounding smaller holes where the oil will be filtered prior to starting the engine. Dirty oil enters the large port and then is returned filtered.

    Rough Idle How are the filters? If you think it's injectors have the local repair shop buzz test them and then you'll have a direction to go in. Also check the injector harness on both sides to be sure your plugged in. Check engine light on?
