    looking for link?

Link Not sure if this is what you were looking for. As for the air temp sensor, I just laid mine right under the filter. I drilled a hole just large enough to fit the restriction gauge into a piece of the metal tubing right after the filter.

    locking hubs

I have SOTF and I replaced with Warn Premium hubs. You just have to plug the vacuum line under the hood that goes to the hubs. Yea, it is a pain to have to get out to lock them, but at least now I know they are locked or unlocked.

how does the front license plate mount?

My truck did not come with a front mount plate. I bought the holder and just used what ever I had around the garage, nuts, bolts, washers, to make it fit. Stayed that way for years, until I decided to take it off for better air flow.

    Front SwayBar Mount

Is it suppose to look like this? This is on the passenger side of the truck. Driver side is straight up and down. Next thing, is this hurting anything? If I use a torch to heat the mount up to straighten it out, will that weaken the mount? Thanks

    Truck shuts off while driving.

My coworker has a 99.5 F250. He has told me that several time while driving down the highway, with or without a trailer, the truck will shut off. He drops to neutral, restarts, and goes about his way. Any ideas? He replaced the fuel filter, but no difference. With all I have learned...

Question Short bed and 5th wheel

I have a short bed and fifth wheel. Just like you I have the extended pin. On a flat lot I jack-knifed the setup and it did not touch. Now when I went to park the trailer at my un-level parking area, the trailer kissed the rear window. The window lost. So with all that, I do not have a...

Question Pre March 99 vs Post March 99 Hubs - Interchangeability?

Hello. Welcome to SDD. Yes, you can use post 3/99 hubs on your pre 3/99 axle. I did this swap about two years ago. Go to Rockauto.com and you can find the hubs labeled pre and post dates. I will look through some of my book marks for information on the swap.

    Anybody familiar with SP programmer?

http://spdiesel.com/ I believe this is their website. I have never bought from them, but have been looking at the exhaust brake for awhile. Plus, they are somewhat close to me.

Were all the o ring replaced? Especially the yellow one? Also the auto hubs on these are prone to fail.

Cruise control on 2000 Superduty Inop?

When I had an issue, I replaced the controls on the steering wheel. Works fine ever since. I guessed it was the controls since everything else worked on the truck, and the cruise would turn on only when I pressed way too hard on the controls.

Power Steering Poll for the people.

I believe I am soon changing out the steering gear due to a leak. I have looked everywhere else hoping to fine the leak, but the only thing that is "wet" is the gear box. Question: If you were doing this, would you change out all the steering line also? They are 11yo but no leaks at any of...

    A/C Orifice Mod?

Here are the pics I took when I did the ranger valve mod. You position the valve so when you close the valve, coolant flows into and then out of the valve, bypassing the heater core. I tied into the red vacuum line, behind the glove box. It closes the valve when the switch is in vent/AC/AC...

    spongy pedal and unknown device

Did you "seat" the brakes? After I do a pad changes, I start the truck and just pump on the brakes for a bit, then I go for a drive. Usually firms the pedal right up.

    Relationship with wipers and brakes?

I pulled the relay that was there for my trailer plug. Now the 12v lead to the plug is always hot, not just when the truck is on. I've had it this way for years and I have never had a dead battery from overnight dry camping.

    Rear Brake Rotor Removal

I know this may be simple, but I did it the first time. Make sure you have the parking brake off. The rears have a drum like brake in the center of them. Also a lot of penetrating oil. If you are not going to keep the rotors, use a rubber mallet and "tap" them loose. This is what I did...

    trailer wiring

It has been awhile for me, but I think there is a plug under the truck. I think it is along the driver side frame rail, above the rear axle. I know I have some splices there, so I think that is where it is. I believe how I found it was to trace the wires from the plug back. Drop the spare...
