    i think your dealer can recalibrate the ABS in your truck for up to 35" tires. I'm not positive about the 05 model.

    sounds like a broken t-stat, I've seen several partially break and stick 1/2 way open(Restriction) still flows coolant but not enough to keep the engine temp down, and the slow coolant flow through the heater core will not provide in cab heat.

    you can jack the truck up and try turning it by hand, but i don't have a good reference for that. I have seen somewhere a method for doing this with a torque wrench on the tie rod nut with the truck off the ground, possibly a ford TSB :dunno

    just a thought, possibly a ball joint starting to tighten up. with the water intrusion and/or shock from off-road. that will definatly cause increased steering effort

    definitely go with the 100% duty cycle compressor & 5 gal tank. then just add a air line coupler to the tank or remote mount it.     Problem with balancing tires?

    I haven't had much luck with BFG's, find someone to do a road force balance, that will show you if there's a problem with the tire. I balanced mine with the road force and the most weight it took was 60 grams, they ride great at 90+ mph.

    any wheel bearing noise? the ABS light is usually a good indication the front hub bearing is going out, the sensor ring (reluctor)eats the end off the sensor, check your DTC's that should point you in the right direction.... when u geting those new wheels ?

    All of the fords are free spin as long as the auto hubs are working correctly. ford has a part time transfer case.
