Fixed FICM and now no clue what is wrong

It is common for FICM components to fail - not just soldering issues. Highly recommend FICMRepair.com

    FICM Repair

I have helped half a dozen folks with their FICM's. I exclusively use FICMrepair.com. His work is excellent and he truly does use components w/ upgraded heat and vibration ratings. It is well worth the money - much better than OEM. If you call him (Ed) he will gladly tell you all about the...

    Abt to buy 6.0, HELP!

The issue is more with fuel pressure below 45 psig. A fuel pressure gauge is very useful.

    Help Needed Dtc 1378

P1378 is for supply voltage IIRC (Logic Power). Check out the batteries and alternator. FYI: P1378: Low FICM logic power. System detects less than 7 volts. Could be low batteries, loose connections (or excessive circuit resistance), bad relay

    old problem new again

Acting fine when hot doesn't sound like the HPO system. I would be watching the FICM voltage (KOEO, cranking, and at 2000 rpm).

    Do it while cranking also.

    '04 will not start

    Typical FICM codes: P0611 and or a number of injector "low circuit codes": P0261 P0264 P0267 P0270 P0273 P0276 P0279 P0282

A ScanGaugeII is a good buy for a code reader/scan tool/gauges. They are about $160. It will read FICM voltages and a number of other key engine parameters. They are quite handy.

    Fuel Pressure/Blue Spring

Don't spend extra $$'s on replacing the FICM. There are several good places that will repair it and offer warranty. IMO FICMrepair.com is the best value. You can attempt the repair yourself, but FICMrepair.com also upgrades some marginal components ($250-$300).

    Question RECON XZT Control System

I like my Recon XZT gauges (fuel pressure and EGT). It is a quality product IMO.

    Fuel Pressure/Blue Spring

All this injector circuit codes means a bad FICM to me (assuming your batteries are healthy).
  18. B

    Fuel Pressure/Blue Spring

What are the injector codes? Your PCM doesn't know what the fuel pressure is, so it can't be pressure codes. Maybe low circuit codes?

Help Needed Changed fuel, filters and nothing

PC/ED manual states 100 rpm minmum to enable a start. Air can be introduced from a cross threaded (or damaged o-ring) primary fuel filter cap, Vapor introduced into the upper fuel filter bowl can also be from combustion gas due to a bad injector. One easy check for injector problems...

How concerned should I be with making the recommended mods to my 6.0?

Some EGR deletes can cause issues with the operation of the cooling fan - mainly the newer model years - but your SCT tunes should take care of that. The BulletProofDiesel EGR cooler is a good investment if you feel the need to keep the EGR system. I doubt that you would ever have issues w/...
